Elmer's #17 Pumping Engine

I am looking for my next project and am thinking about Elmer's #17 Pumping Engine.
Did a search and found no hits on the forum.
Has anyone built one??? Or know someone that has??
Would like to hear pros and cons of engine build.

A long build, but surely worth the effort. Be careful about the perfect alignment of upper and lower parts (engine cilynders/bearings/pumps cilynders) or it will not work.

You did a great job on yours. My last engine was the wooden beam engine and I am looking for a winter project that will take about 4 months. I don't know if I can come close to the job you did but I am willing to give it a try.

I wonder why my forum search for posts on the engine did not turn up anything !!!
