Boiler tubing listed on some drawings that I have, call for 1/2" and 3/8" tubing. What methods or tools do you use the straighten out coiled tubing so it will be equally spaced through the boiler length.

The way I straighten copper tube, as long as it is annealed and fairly soft is to get it as straight as possible by eye then roll it between a couple of flat plates of ali. It straightens in a matter of seconds.
Maybe Kevin has an easier way as he is doing it all the time.

Hi Edd

Draw the tube as straight as you can cut it a little over what you want anneal it (dull red and hold it a few seconds) let it cool and then roll it on a flat plate like a granite or a surface plate. Make sure what your using on top is smooth and dent free or it will mark the tube. Once you have a dent or ding the tube is scrap for firetube in anything over a 15 PSI boiler.

Cheers Kevin
