This is one of two Clarkson casting kits I found sitting in the corner of Pop’s shop for 40 years. The other is the horizontal version. The kits plans are dated 1969. The smaller castings were hard like diamonds at the corners, but I was determine. The kit even had a casting for the rectangle steam chest cover.

The boiler is almost complete. I redesigned the connecting rod since the video to get rid of the clunk. I will redo the studs so they look neater. Steam will point out any leaks.

Making progress on the horizontal Clarkson. I opened the box and made copies of the original drawings.

That is a good idea to copy all plans and drawings for the engine.
