Hi, I had a question about my CAMSHAFT project. Is it possible to increase engine acceleration by increasing the cam lift and changing the angles of the cam?
And on what basis do they design the cam profile?
Thank you all friends. Hadi from Persia

What exactly are you trying to achive? When you make any change to a camshaft you gain something and lose something. Even if you change nothing and just advance the cam timing you will get better low end torque and "accelerate" faster but you lose torque on the high RPM range. So yes increasing lift and duration will improve performance somewhere in the RPM range and degrade performance somewhere else.
