Building J E Howells Twin V engine

Ive progressed far enough to try to get one cly to fire with little to no luck. The event sequence. Intake valve opens a tad after TDC, with Exhaust closed In take closes just a tad after BDC comes up {hopefully } ( 45 lbs of compression) with a charge of fuel spark takes place around TDC but with no firing. Carb has neg draw in at the choke plate. Em strictly a propane user for all my engines with scracth built carbs. Iv not seen any with any body using propane with this engine. Much fiddling with all the parts that come in to play. Comments if you will.
