I still have problems with links that get directed to the old server.

For example, if I try to use the spell check, I am directed to the old server and get the "Maintenance Mode" message.

The same thing happens if I follow the link for Gails new index.

I'm not sure if this is the right part of the forum to post this. If not, one of the moderators will relocate it.

The new server is very fast. Thanks to all who are responsible for making this forum a great place to hang out.

Gail,

Thanks for developing the index. Perhaps it can be made part of the files section where the files reside.

When I try to follow the link, I get the HMEM maintneance mode message (same message as when the site was being moved to another server). This also happens when I try to do spell check.

I am not complaining, just daylighting this problem.

I will post this in a more appropriate part of the forum.

Thanks again for the index.

Sam,
I just tried both, they are working correctly from this end.

I wonder if your computer is just hanging on to some of the old information (Windows does that. Too frequently. Bad Windows).

At a command prompt try typing this: ipconfig /flushdns

That should clear out the name resolver data Windows stores up. Failing that, perhaps a reboot will work.
Let us know how it works out for you, it may help others.

Kevin,

I rebooted and the links work correctly.

The reboot was kind of scary, the puter started up with a error screen that I never had seen before. Some sort of corruption. Vista restarted and cleared it up. I am amazed that these things work at all.

Time to run a complete disk scan.

Thanks,

SAM

Sounds good, Sam.

Yeah, Windows is a virus masquerading as an operating system.

Almost as bad as McAfee; a virus masquerading as virus protection. :big:
