Help!!!
the CNC machine - axis turn just in one direction. I use CNC, sherline in the Mach3 progrem. I tried chANGING THE PARALLEL PORTS, what else can be the problem?

first of all I am not sure what you mean by changing parallel ports.

is it just one axis that moves only in one direction or all axes .
Is this a new build or is a system you were using and stopped working.
what controller /driver are you using.
If you change direction in the software does the motor change direction?

My feeling is something simple like a loose or disconnected wire or bent pin damaged cable. the computer sends a step and direction signal to the driver board the driver board makes the motor move. so either there is a problem with the driver board or more likely the board is not getting the direction signal.

Please post and introduction in the welcome section. tell us a bit about yourself your shop and your interest in model engine building.
also please avoid double posts in the future.

If this is a new build it may be that the machine hasn't been properly referenced. Do you have home/limit switches installed?

Is there a limit switch stuck or shorted.
in this case the machine will only move away from that
Limit.
swap your axis cables to see if the ptoblem
Moves with the cable. This will indicate the problem
is on the driver side rather than the motor.
my ahha system does this sometimes
but if i run a known program rather than
jogging it corrects the problem
goodluck
