I have a 'spare ' Atlas or acorn tools shaper that I would like to sell. Is any body interested, if so I can post a few photos. It is near Sydney, Australia. Its slide ways look in really good condition but it is missing a few belt guards and a motor mount. 6 inch stroke.

Here are some quick photos. This machine has a variable position stroke as well as an adjustable stroke length. Also an auto table feed for facing cuts to the left and right. A lever operated belt slip clutch and also for quick speed changes. is is covered with rust preventrt so looks rather dirty.

I would love to have that but you are quite a ways from me!! BTW I did get lucky at a swap meet last Friday and scored a David Gingery design shaper for a great price. The person that built it did not want to cast the main parts so he used plate for everything. It is very well built and seems to be in excellent shape except for some surface rust. It is HEAVY! Good luck with your sale.

I'd love to buy it off you but while I'm closer than Jim, I'm still a bit far away. Looks like a great machine though!

Please note; I will make sure every thing is working, but there is no more parts than in the photo. No vice and no side cover. The tool holder in the clapper box is there. It is a dirty gem though. You can make a beautiful restoration job out of it. It is a Myford equivalent in a shaper. I made a set of watchmakers lathe cross slides in tool steel on my older identical machine. I have started rebuilding my other shaper or I would have kept this and sold the other. It weighs a good 75KG. I will give it a bit more of a clean and post more photos if you like. Best bid gets it. I am in no hurry to sell. Or come and collect it and I will give you a tour of the clock.

Make me an offer.

Here are a few more photos after a bit of a clean up. I found 2 'Defects' , there is a broken T slot and a bit of galling on the front of the ram every thing else is good.
