This is actually related...

I began collecting and restoring antique small engines years ago.
My home shop was set up to make parts for those engines that were no
longer available. Such as this carb needle shank I made for a my 1924 Jaeger
Hit-N-Miss Mixer engine.

My favorite engine in the collection is this 1934 Maytag Hit-N-Miss
washing machine engine.

I bought it for around $100 as a basket case and restored it to what you
see now. I love the sound of a Hit-N-Miss engine at idle.

At any rate, I got a little bored with just restoring old engines and decided
I should try to build one from scratch. That's what got me into the model
building hobby. And that, into creating this forum.

Nice looking maytag and part. I did have 15 engines at one time. Sold the last of the bigger ones last year after I hurt my shoulders. Everything from maytags to oilwell engines. Did a lot of engine shows but slowed down. Now have an Olds model and a Hired man model(not finished yet). Started a couple bar stock engines. These are something I can handle. Again I like your work.

Have a 1913 Fuller & Johnson pump jack engine. It was sitting for several years apart. I am working on the gas tank and carb mixture screw knob. The points were 8 degrees off so it hasn't been run much. Also I have to complete the ignition parts.
