Are all logged in members now being forced to view advertisements? Or is it just me?

Funny, Ads appearing on this site on 2 different computers, one with IE, not with Firefox, other on both.

I didn't see ads here either, until this morning. Shop computer shows ads here when logged in with IE, but not Firefox. House computer shows ads here when logged in with IE and with Firefox.

I am logged in as evidenced by my username appearing at the top right. Pictures show the ads I see. Why? Angie, did something change on my account?

Firefox and the free add-on Ad Blocker Plus is your friend.

I made a change that I didn't think would effect anyone but spammers. All you need to do is go to your UserCP, then down to Edit Options and on the bottom of the page you should be able to turn off the ads again. That is something I cannot do for you, or I would.

Others may see this and only need to do the one time reset. I do apologize for not warning you, but what I did did not look as if it would effect your viewing of HMEM.

I found when I became a Forum supporter I no longer saw ads on the pages.
    A definite bonus.

I too have the ads but there is no option to turn them off in that menu anymore :(. Not sure if it's related (or maybe just my PC) but the forum is running terribly slow with the ads enabled as well.

I see no option in the user CP to turn off ads. Can you take a screen shot of it and post it?
Also, the forum is verrrrry slow in responding...

I just had to re-type a long response because the forum failed to update when I hit post - no error message, it just reloaded the page and lost my reply. Coupled with the ads problem and the super slow load times I think the changes need to be rolled back...

Ha, Cogsy do you have Firefox? I'm not getting the ads using Firefox. Seems to load faster, too!

Nope, stuck with IE on this PC (plus I distrust Firefox in general, can't even remember why...). Seems the forum has major issues though. Wouldn't be surprised to see it go down completely soon.

Angie, I have been getting the Ads for the last couple of days but can't see anywhere to turn them off at the bottom of the "Edit Options" page.

The whole forum is now very slow particularly on IE and just stops responding.

I'll research today to see what kept them off the other classification (that should have been seeing them) and if I find it I'll put it on this new classification.

I have been seeing an annoying plethora of ads! I use google chrome. I hope a solution can be found.
