OK, we have Gormley's Angel of the North which is as neat a bit of welding as most will see. It sort of looks over where my wife's family had a castle.
I hope that this stands a bit longer as hers -fell down:fan::fan:
This is old news but a set of models has crept into New York. The name for these horse head models is the Kelpies. The name is from antiquity, I suppose it really means water sprites or something that we poor souls don't understand- yet. Scotland is full of these things- Loch Ness Monsters, Dan Smith's Roslin Castle thing, Haggis and Billy Connolly. Taken with a Drap o the Cratur, It is all good fun.
However, this latest thing add to what Falkirk has in its famous wheel and New York models are a taste of 300 tons of structural steel work that adorns the area. It is all in www.thehelix.co.uk/discover-helix/the-kelpies.
I hope that you will enjoy them as we did before the BBC finally got round to it all tonight.
Cheers
