I didn't think that in Italy there was somebody with an interesting collection of model engines, until I browsed this site: http://www.iadermotoridepoca.it

this fellow bilds engines (Landini is in 1:6 scale) with high fidelity to the original ones; all of them are running obviously

yesterday I wrote an email to him to know if some plans or draws are available. I'm waiting for the reply

that Landini is fantastic: it was a famous tractor in Italy in the 1930 - 1950 years. its mainly feature was the 'testa calda' (warm head), but I don't know exactly what it means.
IIRC the head had been heated (in some way) before to start the engine

many other engines too on the site

Thanks for posting the link ariz. Lots of interesting things to see...quite a nice collection.

The 'warm head' may just be another way of saying 'Hot Bulb Semi-Diesel'

Quite a common arrangment in the past.

Dave

you are right bluechip, I searched it on wikipedia and yes, Hot Bulb Semi-Diesel and Testa Calda (the italian way to call them) are the same thing

thank you
