I am selling this as I am converting over to all individual machines. The roller and bender have hardly ever been used and the guillotine has only cut very thin non ferrous. Just needs a bit of clean due to sitting in the back of the shop for a few years

It is a 12" machine like this one, but from Axminster.

No offers and pick up only.

100 UK pounds

If I can get into my shop tomorrow, I will take one, but the only difference to the one I directed you to is that mine is Axminster cream colour, and the bad design of the guillotine has been fixed so that the blades now come together correctly and should even cut tissue paper as long as it isn't wet.

Ok Baron,

Here is the beastie in the flesh

I now have in my possession to replace it, a 12" box and pan folder, a 12" guillotine and everything to make the 12" 4 roll roller, so this can go anytime to get it out of the way.

Just been looking at the same one in our local shop they cant sell it
its been on special for a while reduced from $400 to $300
If I was still making steam locos I would have bought it by now
But I have little room and not a lot of use for it.If you
have used it what are your thoughts.Would have loved to have one when I was making the cab and
running boards for Heilen Lassie. As an ex sheetmetal worker it would be the bees knees

Baz,

I used it mainly for the guillotine, which wasn't very good when I first had it, it was assembled with washers that were too large that caught on the bottom blade, but once that was fixed and adjusted it was very good indeed.

I used the roller and bender only a couple of times, and both worked satisfactory, but a friend who has the 24" version works wonders with his.

The only down side for me is the way it operates, all three parts are interlinked, the bender and cutter still operating as you are rolling, so the action is a little heavy for me, hence going for three separate machines. If they could have been driven individually, it would have been very good for me.

For those that don't know how these machines work, here is a shortish vid putting a larger one through it's paces.

Mine is only 12" wide with just one handle, the real big ones have a handle on either side so two people can operate it if needed.

They are rather good to make repair panels for corroded wheel arches! I used one when I did my City and Guilds in Motor Vehicle Restoration. Getting a curve with a hammer and dolly or sand bag after doing the initial bend on the folder is interesting.

Oddly, Spitfire wings were done this way.

I could do with a folder as I have started to Mig weld again.

Cheers

You have done a wide variety in your lifetime Norm some things
in tandem with my experiences.Taking my City and Guilds in
sheetmetalwork I recall taking the plenishing hammers and dollys
to the sanmdbag etc with copper sheet for an exam test piece
Like the video,i am still tempted to buy the unit even if I have no use that I can see

Baz,

I am actually taking a step backwards with my machinery, as I stated above. But if needs must.

For Norm, this is the folder I have now got, bought it off Ebay but picked it up myself from Chester UK as the delivery was £36, and it isn't far from where I live, got it for about £40 cheaper than they normally sell it for on their own site by doing it that way.

The guillotine came from here

Who also do a smaller 3 in 1 than mine

I've got to make the roller as I decided if you want the best, you just can't buy a small one off the shelf. This is a 4 roller design with all rolls being driven.

Why not enjoy what you enjoy doing? Buy the thing
I wish that I was as talented.
