1/4-32 Spark Plug specification

Wanting to get the spark as close to the cylinder bore as I can I'm wanting to know what is the right depth for a quarter 32 spark plug thread. Meaning from the shoulder of the Spark Plug to the tip of the futhermost part of it, you know the 'watchmacallit'.
