It is entirely possible to build up a new tooth with weld then grind it to shape, have done this and seen it done to good effect on farm machinery on several occasions. Regards Terry

A vertical single 4-stroke IC engine

Hi Chuck, To my way of thinking this last incarnation looks to be on the right track as the throttle should not adversely effect the fuel air ratio as it opens and closes, whereas the earlier design with the outboard throttle would greatly alter the mixture becoming very rich when it is closed...

    Sheet Metal Brake

Hi Chuck, Watching with interest, a sheet metal brake has (like so many other things) been on my to do list for a while. I have Dave Gingery's book, which gives good detail on how to build one, although it is somewhat lighter than yours. He goes on to outline simple sheet metal bends and joints...

Philip Duclos "Odds N Ends" hit and miss engine

Hi Brian, nice video, points look fine to me for this sort of thing (your not expecting to do 25000 miles a year with it) no reason why it wont work and is certainly an easy way to adjust the timing. Sorry to hear about your endmills :o sometimes I think that breaking endmills must be what I set...

Hi Bob, Just a little clarification if you don't mind, after ginding the valves with toothpaste do you rinse it off with Listerine or is that only indicated for use on Lister engines??? :big: Keep at it mate Regards Terry
