I have these mounted on my mill and lathe about 3 years with no problems, if you use the supplied display take the batteries out or use a DC adapter as I found the batteries went dead fairly quickly . I swiched to Yuris setup and all works great . I mounted my scales and heads on nylon pads to...

    V-TWIN---MAYBE V-4

Brian. Great to hear you got it running . That pressure building up in the crankcase may be why you are getting so much blue smoke out the exhaust ( oil vapour forced by the rings ) and the pressure will cause extra leakage at your access cover in the bottom . I'm not sure what RC 4 stroke model...

    Model Engine Ignitions

TonyM . Yes that was my thought, years ago I did small engine repair and was thinking the same thing also if the spark is jumping a bigger distance it is easier to see if you have a good blue spark or a weaker yellowish spark . I saw on another forum that these don't actually turn off when you hit the " off " button , they go into a standby mode and just the display goes blank . I now take the battery out when not in use , a pain in the butt but the batteries last forever. Bill

Brian . Are you interested in having a look at the servo and tester I was telling you about , I can't remember the exact cost but about $15.00 - $20.00 . A lot cheaper then $150.00 for a complete RC system. Bill PS . Engine looks and sounds great .

    Used Computer Hard Drive Parts

The other thing you may want to keep is the fans intact for cooling electronic projects, the power supply gives you 5 volt and 12 volt DC for powering LED lights or maybe a power feed for a mill etc .
