    Thanks All It looks like the screws were machined from 3/16 (.1875) hex stock. The same as an H.E. Boucher engine I am also working on. Looks lie the die approach is the best choice.

    I have obtained a Stuart Triple Expansion engine by an unknown builder. The problem I am having is locating replacement hardware The engine was built with 4-36 hex head machine screws. Does anyone know of a source for these. Thanks Bill

    Stuart BB Mystery Hardware

    I recently acquired a Stuart BB apparently assembled by the first owner. The hardware is not standard Stuart. It is in between 8BA (bottom) and 7BA (top). The diameter of the stud is 0.084" and has approximately 48 threads per inch. Does anyone have an idea what this thread might be?

    Hi Tony, A sketch for a ceramic burner would be very helpul. I've had trouble sourcing the ceramic. The only material I could find was an Alumina tile with holes that jewelers use for welding. This is Don Ciucci"s boat; he uses a blowtorch. It's powered by a Stuart D10; very impressive...
