Thanks everyone for your interest and advice. The magazines are going to a new home. I was afraid they would have to go in a dumpster.

    Building Kozo's New Shay locomotive

First thanks so much for an amazing job of posting. IMHO your shop work is at the level of art. The only reason I say Drats is because I just bought the plans book plus two more books from Village Press. (I can never buy only one book from them.) :)

    Pot-Bellied Backyard Stirling Engine

"Has anybody tried to combine several engines like this on the line (3-6 cylinder...) to see, if the efficiency could be preserved so that a real home made power station could be developed?" I saw a triple version of Dr. Senft's Moriya at the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers Show several...

    air engine powered bike?

As of August 2012 India's auto maker, Tata, was still working on an air powered car. http://www.theverge.com/2012/8/13/3235980/tata-airpod-air-powered-car I could not find anything newer than that. Bob Bailey Genius has it's limit, insanity does not.

    Milling machine oppinion

IMHO another thing to consider is the amount of spindle run-out. Two mills may come out of the same factory, but how do they perform? I believe JET provides documentation showing test results. . I'm not sure but I think Grizzly provides test results to. I would check HF to see if they provide...

    Amateur Workshop Magazine Stirling Engine

Thanks for the reply Mike. I have been fascinated by Stirling Engines for a long time and traveled to many engine shows to see them. IMHO they are an enigma, how can something so simple to understand and yet be so difficult to build one that produces a useful amount of power? It can be done...

    Amateur Workshop Magazine Stirling Engine

OK I have been a member a very short while, so I'm a little reluctant to jump right in. I should probably lurk for a while, but here goes anyway. :D First IMHO you have done a beautiful job on the engine. Second there is a book by a Mr. Andy Ross with the title Making Stirling Engines. It is...

Hello, Just joined, first posting. I can tell from what I have seen that I have a lot to learn. I'm retired, a hobby machinist and enjoy anything that turns thermal energy into kinetic energy and noise. ;D Bob Bailey
