I am in the process of overhauling/restoring an older Atlas/Craftsman lathe and i have a question regarding the spindle. On the pulley and gear assembly there is a screw, is this just for oiling the bushings or is it a set screw? if it is tightened all the way up it will not allow the pulley...

Picked up a box of stuff at a yard sale and this was in it. 4" Face plate threaded for a 1/2-24 spindle. Can be had for the very low cost of free, all that I ask is who ever wants it kick back the cost of shipping to me. Just Email me. Thanks Rex
