I have been looking at the selection of CAD programs out there and Atom 3D looks to me to be an attractive choice. It has a 1 time fee that is cheaper by a lot than AutoCAD and, if you use it for more than a year it's cheaper than SolidWorks too. I don't really want something that I have to use...

I'm recently retired and planning on installing CAD and starting a new design or 2. I will be reviewing the software forum (haven't yet) for input as to what hobby level CAD would be good to use.
