    Bob shores used to send a tap and die wall chart with each order...I put it on the wall twenty years ago... no broken taps down to 00-90;) I slip the tap shank loosly in a ER chuck in the mill and have at it. Ray M

    Just be sure your replacement tank is recently pressure rated and in good shape...they can make a hell of a mess of everything ,and everyone in the area when they come apart. Raym

    you can also buy 'machinable' ceramic in rounds...you can heat treat after machining if needed...the piece I played with was 1/2"x12". round. Raym

    I normally hide the gas tanks inside the frame somewhere such as these Shores engines... On a recent build I decided on a exterior tank of a 'tulip shape' carved out of a piece of 6061 with an internal float level indicator

    Yes, using no gasket is best if conditions permit, although all is to be considered during design.
