Ban on small engines in California

It's a standard attitude of the liberal left to believe that they, and only they are right. All others must submit. I call it "social narcissism", with all the standard traits and behaviors you can expect from an individual narcissist.

flat 4 cylinder engine / boxer

Good to know. I have an order in, for a set of drawings, and hadn't heard anything in a while. I notice the last update on their homepage is from March, also why I was wondering...

    Coles' Power Models

I just ran across my Coles' Power Models cat. #26, from 1995. It still has the receipts for a set of Wall Flathead Four castings and extras tucked in it. Turns out I still have a credit due, where I overestimated the shipping. It sure would be nice to get that $1.81 back... :)

Back to work on my UFO

I think a lot of UFOs are finally getting some much needed attention, lately. My oldest one is a 1/2 scale Maytag, 18 years old. I think, this time, I'll get those last couple of parts finished and get it running. Connecting rod, timer and carb.... Just a few more stitches! :)

    Dallaire Pee Wee

KenC, thank you for your reply. I have, since, gotten some very good history from the Engine Collectors Journal and I believe your are right that my castings are from Karl Spielmaker. I will try to find Eric Offen. Hopefully he isn't using a pseudonym on here. One curious thing about the...

    Dallaire Pee Wee

This is the set, as I received it. I haven't found very much info, but it was sold complete or as a casting set in the late '30s. I didn't get any drawings with it.

Rivets are something I know. ;) I'm retired now, but as an industrial maintenance mechanic for over 40 years, one of the types of machines I maintained was tubular riveters. Thanks for the link!

Thank you friends! I'll try all of those (actually I have tried a few of them). :)

    Suppliers in US

All I have been able to find are a couple of "Supplier" lists that are hopelessly outdated, and a few vendors on Ebay who sell a few kits on the side but no parts or supplies. When I started collecting casting sets, there were companies like Caldwell Industries and Coles. All such seem to be...

Hello. Can anyone recommend any current model engineering suppliers in the US? I'm looking for things like spur gears, small hex screws and such. Thank you! Bill Shamblin
