    Part support while milling

    What does one use to shim under a flat part when edge milling on a rotary rable? Don't want to gouge the table inadvertently.

    If one doesn't have a rotary table, how would you mill the circumference of a circular piece with a small stem (think banjo shape)?

    Purpose??

    My new LMS high torque Mini mill has a t slot on the front edge of the table with a round hole at each end. Regular tee nuts don't fit, so what is the purpose of this slot??

    Not what was intended

    Milling a slot in a piece of aluminum held in the vise. All going well until I see sparks (from aluminum??). Then noticed I had milled a nice slot in the overly long vise hold down screw. Oh well,it was too long anyway.
