    Hemingway Kits (hemingwaykits.com) do a 15cc 4stroke V-twin -The Aero, plans and build notes plus material kits are available- they will export if you are not in the UK.

    in your opinon, what is the youngest age for someone to use a mamod or similar steam toy?

    I was around 8 or 9 when I had my first Mamod, and soon learnt what "hot" really meant, which did me no harm! In those days (1950's) I used to go down to the local grocery shop with an empty bottle and buy methylated spirit to run it - can you imagine that happening now? My 4 year old grandson...

    Ok its a big model I grant you, but of what I would call a little engine, like in this picture. This is what I would call a "BIG" single cylinder open crank engine! And there was me thinking everything in the US was bigger than over here! Best wishes and happy machining! Smiffy

    What a project - great for when the 3 1/2" steam loco is finished (if I live that long!). Many thanks - I love these little engines.
