    Clear tubing that maybe true, but even cheddar and saito models use flexible plastic tubing for low pressure steam use all the time. also check out crabfu steamworks.

    Brian, I have purchased a couple of sets of his plans and they are first rate. My beam engine was loosely based on one of his plans. I would highly reccomend them as they come with lots of machining tips and setup ideas too. -Bret

    Gail, Very impressive cam/gear setup. Certainly more adjustable than my beveled nub in the setscrew hole of a purchased gear. I must give gearcutting a try ;) -Bret
