I had an old surface grinder that had X axis feed by an electric motor. They set this up with contactors to reverse the motor. It worked surprisingly well.

My engines live in and transport in boxes I made for them. Example of one of mine.

To be clear, I have purchased a casting set for the olds 1/2 scale engine. Drawings were not included. I only want to be able to finish the castings. So I am seeking any resolution to that end.

Generally the casting kits would include the drawings.

The direct side pressure tools are the least desirable. The scissor type tools work very well and work best with convex rolls. Then there is the cut type which do not enlarge the diameter but are very expensive to buy. Like around $1500 to $2000. The scissor type is the best overall answer...
