    When I started years ago before You Tube or even the internet,my castings were riddled with air bubbles when I machined them. I later realised my greensand was far too damp. With a bit more Bentonite and less water it fixed the problem immediately. You can also degas with washing soda .. See...

    I am a retired Police Officer and a colleague of mine did exactly the same thing whilst on the top floor of a multi storey car park.Prosecution files fluttered all over town. A lot of people are possibly still expecting summonses to drop through the door,but they never will :big:

    Its not so much the shipping costs but the v.a.t. at 17.5% (soon to be 20%) we have to pay. Plus the Post Office our end have the cheek to charge us £7 to collect the tax. :o. When the exchange rate was $2 to the £1 it was worth it,but not now. >:(

    warco variable speed lathe

    Ken. I've just got a Warco 250,delivered just before Christmas. Haven't got it out the packing case yet but it looks very good. If I might advise you to be patient and wait til the Harrogate show in May (or show near to you) you will get it a lot cheaper. I got £150 off the 250. John
