Taking Pictures---How do you do it?

I did a write-up of how I take my workshop photo's a while ago, and a few others joined in with some good hints too, it's all found here :- http://madmodder.net/index.php?topic=1222.0 Just a few rambling thoughts of a semi-deranged mind :big: :big: Tim

    Mal

John, I join with all the others in expressing my condolences, though I cannot say I know what you are going through, nor I suppose can anyone truly know, but my thoughts and sympathies are with you and your family at this time. May you find some small comfort in knowing that Mal is no longer...

    Interesting tool bit setter

You just trap the ruler on the other side of the stock, ie against the outside of the rear instead of the front side. That's what I do. Tim

    Using an air compressor

I got mine from here :- http://www.rdgtools.co.uk/acatalog/COMPRESSORS.html The ones at the top of the page do not have a storage tank, so the compressor has to run all the time, further down the page there are ones with a little storage tank attached so that the compressor will charge the tank...

    Using an air compressor

If an aquarium type air pump wont do, I got a air-brush compressor that has it's own small storage tank for running my little "steam" engines with, works quite well too. Tim

I need to machine my wedding ring - thoughts please?

I made an expanding mandrel for working on rings, based it on the design found here :- http://www.cartertools.com/mandrel1.html I've made a few rings out of titainium, it's tough stuff!! If your file doesnt like it, if you have a diamond file that will do the trick. Then use emery to smooth any...

    Stealing Whole Posts

It was interesting to note that when the post was 1st put up, there was only a link to the thread on Madmodder, and no reference to who had actually written the post. There have since been a number of edits. One thing that is quite worrying is that it would appear that someone has copied the...

    An experimental V-4 wobbler

Well, I didnt screw the frame up, but I have slightly mixed feelings as my CAM output that I made for CNC'ing the frame ended up cutting it a bit too close for my comfort. It didnt break through any of the long-drilled holes, but there isnt much left, just enough to smooth the frame. Anyway...

    madmodder administrator or moderator?

It seems to be a bit sporadic today, Brass Machine (madmodder admin) is working on it at the moment, I dunno if it is related to the hurricane or not ??? Tim

    V4 Wobbler

Neat design for the main frame Ken. You'll only regret it if you didn't try it, and if it all turns out ok then you will have a very neat little engine. What are you making the body out of? With mine it was some unknown grade of Ali' so I took the deep drilling very easy, pecking in no more...

    An experimental V-4 wobbler

Thanks Les, I hope to get on with the main frame shaping over the next few days. Thanks Ken, I am finding that it is a lot easier to design the pretty bits than it is to produce them, hopefully it will work out ok on the mill. Tim

    An experimental V-4 wobbler

Well, I thought I would get my finger out and get on with this build Rof} Having finished with another time-sensitive project I got back on track with this, I made a start on the two outer frames that fit either side of the main frame. After hacksawing, squaring, and then flycutting to...
