    Petrobond or?

    I know this is not a model to be shown but I think I have read about mixing casting sand with motor oil ( may be used). I don't know how well this works but worth a try. I do know of a chemical that uses CO2 to harden it, single use. Dennis

    power hack saw

    Hi I recently purchased an old cast iron power hack saw. I am in the process of making bushings and replacing a 1" bar the big gear runs on. I had to make a blade tension lever that was missing. It runs 12 inch blades. I need a motor. Harbor freight has a 1/2 HP unit that should be satisfactory.

    Chilled cast iron.

    Hi I experienced the chilled hard spots in some cast pieces. It occurs to me the cast bits could be heat treated to remove these hard spots. Question heat to what temp and cool slow? Any ideas?
