Just wondering how it is made? Fairly expensive here at $10 per pound. I have some nice yellow clay, sieved it and mixed in a bit of oil kind of worked but sure will not pickup the details like the real stuff. Any suggestions? Bob

I thought I would start another engine but that's not going to happen so I have a bunch of extra parts. First up a set of head castings in aluminum. Plan calls for steel but these might work at least for practice. Any interest? Bob

Plans say to mount master rod secure ie silver solder. Cant wrap my head around how that will work so has anyone done it? Bob

These are the best castings I have ever seen They are die cast not sand so finish is really nice. I bought these years ago from the guy in Norway I think. The flying club there commissioned a professional machinist to build the engine and then sold castings to defray the cost. Building...

I have a bunch of BA tap and die that I will never use. First picture is a complete set of dies 0 to 13 with assorted taps asking $US30. Second pic are some extras if you don't want the set I can sell these individually. I am in Canada so shipping to UK may be a bit pricey guessing around $10-15...

Attached drawing shows cam lobe and bearing. Am I wrong or will that lobe never pass through the bearing? Bob

I think someone mentioned that the valves are too short per the drawings. I just had a quick look at mine and it seems the valves as specified are about 1/4" too short. Has anyone confirmed this and come up with solution? Bob
