Hi Jeroen; Have built this kit myself & I found the standard had a chilled skin around the cylinder flange so keep an eye out for it. I had some probs with the crankshaft initially but nothing that couldn't' be overcome, the other bit that you will have to take care is where the bearing blocks...

Nice Job Stew, write up & pics; would like this set of scales for my machine but finances prevent it so have to make do with my 'cheaper 'version, had them fitted for 4 years now so can't be bad :thumbup:.

No Probs, comments noted. I have gone some way to protect the DRO's which I haven't shown in previous pics... The 'Y' axis has a plastic splash screen over it to prevent any oil drips from the 'X' axis leadscrew, (no pic to date). Both have served well in their positions & they have been on...

Have built the progress & it works just fine on air at approx 10 psi. Looks superb & your write up is super covers all the pro's & cons I met, I wasn't over enamoured with Stuart green so gave it a coat of brighter green, garden green iirc. I am in the process of building the S50 at present...
