    Elmers #26

Thanks Brock, IT'S ALIVE! Well for the most part. ;D Here is a very short video of it running. Sorry for the bad video quality, I was trying to get the engine to run and hold the camera at the same time. It still has some issues but I'm happy that it at least runs. :big...

    Elmers #26

I started an Elmer's wobbler a couple of months ago, it's almost ready to test drive. Here is the link to the plans (skip the #25, don't know why they were included together): http://www.john-tom.com/ElmersEngines/25_26_WobblerBoiler.pdf Here is what it looked like a month ago: Here is the...

    Newbie shop - 7x12 Grizzly mini-lathe cleanup

I understand, I felt the same way. But, as trout said, you will get swarf in the gears. At the very least you should try taping some card stock over them as a temporary measure, that way you can use the lathe without worrying about the gears getting jammed. Jason

    Newbie shop - 7x12 Grizzly mini-lathe cleanup

Congrats on the new lathe, I have the same one and it's been a hoot. :) I too just removed the locating pin and put it in a box with all of the other parts I don't use anymore. You will probably want to get a QCTP at some point in time and the pin will not likely work with it anyway (and...
