best to do this op with a rotary table, that never happens then, I've made several hundred con-rods and not had any of them do that. discovered the rotary table option after your experience happened to me once, nearly lost a thumb. Regards Dean

Hi there, have you read Ramon's post on anodizing? it on model-engineer forum. couple of pointers 1/ only aluminium, lead and titanium can go in the anodizing tank 2/ use lead sheet for the cathode and use aluminium for the mounting brackets 3/ I mount the parts on the mounting brackets then...

I would also strongly recommend a cast iron piston to run in a steel liner. Regards Dean

They are machined with a great deal of care and dexterity LOL I'll see if i can find a photo of the engine dismantled and I'll upload it. cheers Dean
