    IC Hit & Miss engine coolant.

    As long as a model hit and miss engine misses several cycles between hits, it probably won't get warm enough to need coolant. I don't use coolant in any of my hit and miss engines. Chuck

    Shrink Fit

    Kpar, I'm suspect you are making a flywheel. Rich Carlstedt and others have posted a lot of good information on shrink fits. You should have no problem with the process. Another option is an easy slip fit between the parts and Loctite. This works well for adding rims to a flywheel...

    Gordon, you can make the end of the dowel a common drill size to fit the hole in the flange of the mandrel and the turn the part of the dowel that contacts the rings to the calculated size. That has been my solution. Chuck
