    LOL, I bot my first calculator for 156.09$, that was with tax in 1975. That same calculator now would cost about 20$.

    In the Philippines there are "balik bayan" boxes that get shipt for about $100US. The weight does not matter. I thimpfk there are several companies that will do that including LBC.

    I understand that one of the reasons calculators added significant digits is that in constructing the Interstates, after calculators became available, is that the first calculators had 8 digits, but then the interstates at curves and bridges started to be off a foot or two after miles of laying...

    Yes, I liked Enco too. Used to get a lot of good stuff from them. MSC bot them, I thimpfk, in order to reduce competition and presumably to pick up their customers. Didn't work with me.
