well not for metal work but my other hobby is wood turning and i have been wanting a new lathe for some time well i just got this on sale yesterday i was going to get the cheaper machine but they sold out before i got there and im glad they did im very happy with

I learned how to turn on my dads lathe when I was 10
Nothing like turning wood sometimes. Never know when you need a set of nested bubinga bowls.

Wood turning is just plain fun. Just gouge the wood with serendipity and see where it leads you. I used to enjoy the different smells that would fill the shop as I turned different exotic hardwoods. I think I managed to turn about every type of wood there is. At least it seemed like it. :)

I have done a lot of wood turning in the past .and I belive there is no geter machine than a Woodfast.

Hi, New Guy. Nice lathe. That looks similar to mine which is a delta mini lathe. I have done some turning on mine good machine. Can't wait till my shop is done to do more.
