I've run into a brick wall in my attempt to get a small Carlisle Finch 1/4 hp engine running. :'(

Been on the search for a lunkenheimer 1/2 inch carb or an Essex 3/8 carb(which is what I believe was used in 1915) but no luck.

So Plan B is to make one.
Does anyone have plans for a model carb? Probably one of the larger sizes (for a model) since this little Carlisle has a relatively large bore of 2 1/2" and 2 1/2" stroke.

If I find plans but for a very small model can the plans just merely be scaled up to fit?

Regards Al

I hope there's no exam at the end of the week on this stuff

As a general principle a lot (most) things that have to do with fluid (air is a fluid)
flow do not scale simply.
...lew...

Thank you George Rhoades for the plans.

P M Research does have a nice brass carb casting or available finished model but after a phone call their's would be too small. Modifications neccessary to get it installed (with a 3/4 pipe thread) make it easier to make one from scratch.
