Have just been looking at harold depenbuschs site and his hit/miss engine plans , has any one had a go at this engine or can tell me what the plans are like please, before l make contact with him , must admit like his way of forming a lot of it by welding plate to form a lot of the engine.

Great work , that was good looking over the posts about your engine, think you have made up my mind now , will make contact with Mr Depenbusch and ask him about posting me the plans to the uk, many thanks for your reply, will keep you posted.

I built Harold's engine back in High School (1981) when he was my Vocational Technical School Instructor. Mr "D" as we called him, taught me more about metal working than anything I've learned or experienced on the subject since! He is a Master of the metal working craft and his Hit and Miss engine is a prime example of his skill.

BTW...Does anyone think there would be an interest in casting parts for this engine? The body, head, flywheels, connecting rod, and cylinder could be cast and would cut down tremendously on the build time. If there's enough interest out there, I will proceed with my plans to build castings of this engine.
