It wasn't my day and I should have stayed in bed.
I was finishing of my Ford V8 flatty model engine, all 3d printed but for the bearings and the fasteners.
Installed one bank of 8 valves and about to do the second bank.
I had already closed of the sump, which in hindsight was a mistake of course.
While manipulating the valve spring, stem and the guide, in order to get a M2 grubscrew in place, the spring had other ideas. As a result the really tiny grub screw fell through the intake port down to the top of the crankcase, where there are 4 tiny vent holes neatly nestled between the cam follower journals. Of course my M2 grub screw went for it like it had a date.
Now I need to open the sump again, which is not a major issue, just fiddly work with about 20 M3x8 socket cap screws which also don't like behaving as they should.
Ah well, at least it didn't happen while it was running.

At least one thing I did the other week, is to buy an electric screw driver.
It does not fix any mistake, but it helps speeding up, fiddling out and in 20 M3x8 screws. :-=)
