Deckel FP2NC "Flip-Head"

6300 RPM vertical spindle, tilting head, with quill
3150 RPM horizontal spindle with quill
Cat 40 - hydraulic drawbars
Fixed table

Dialog 4 Control - latest software - among the G.O.A.T. of toolroom CNC controls
Helical interpolation (thread-mills beautiful threads)
Many canned cycles
Graphics simulation
RS232 upload and download to USB (even a Mac)

Full enclosure (windows are ratty)

All manuals - Operator's, Programming Update, Parts, Electronics ("Orange Book")

Everything works - gear shifting, lube pump, CRT, all control modes, coolant pump (disconnected currently)

Runs on 240 V three phase
Runs on a 240 V 50 A single phase circuit through an RPC (not included)

Wear is consistent with a 1986 machine. Still interpolates circles well due to glass scales. Spindle service and memory batteries are up to date.

Comes with T&O vise shown, 10 assorted toolholders, ~40 pull studs, work lamp, leveling pads, coolant tank and pump (not the mist coolant system in photos), tool gripper special tool

Ground level access, but I cannot load. Control cabinet weight ~600 lb, base machine weight ~2800 lb. Located in Redwood City, CA.

I bought the machine in 2006 as the 2nd owner. Machine is currently powered up. I am buying a machine with automatic toolchanger and need to make space.

Hi,
I’m interested but will need some time to see about transportation. Any recommendations for a rigging company? Who is bringing the new one?

I do not know who is the incoming rigger yet. If I had to guess, it'd be Lawson Drayage out of Hayward. I would also guess that their price to rig out the green machine as the only job would be cost-prohibitive. I need the green machine out so I can prep and shuffle things around for the new machine, and don't have space to store anything.

In order of decreasing cost I'd look at:

-Lawson Drayage (Lawson Drayage Inc - A Complete Moving Solution for You)

-Gary Aragon or his sub, Mike (Our Services)
When needing to move my Aciera F-5 across the bay 15 miles, I called Gary and he referred me to a guy named Mike who had a heavy single-axle roll-back truck with a forklift on it. The fee was $700.

-Rent a drop-deck trailer and a pallet jack (That's how I'd do it.) You would need to have or rent a truck capable of towing.

how much does it weigh?

Buying nothing until the green machine is out of the way, but considering a small 40-taper basic VMC like DN Solutions DEM4000, Bridgeport V710, Bridgeport GX710, or Sharp SV2412. My biggest challenge is ceiling height, so most basic 40-taper machines, including Haas, will hit the ceiling at maximum Z. I am tired of manually changing tools and chips flying everywhere, so am chasing a fully-enclosed machine with automatic tool changer.

Hmmmm - - - - if you are stuck because of ceiling height - - - - maybe cut out a section of concrete big enough for the base of the machine and drop your concrete down the 2 or 3 inches you need for your z height.
(I've found sometimes the long way around is the faster way of getting somewhere.)
 
Just to close this one out, I ended up with a DN Solutions DEM 4000 VMC. Vierra Trucking out of Castro Valley, CA, handled the transportation from the DN Solutions warehouse in LA and rigging into my garage for a reasonable price. I would recommend them. I had to cut and restore the garage door header, but did not have to modify the ceiling height once inside the building.
