For sale: brass Panther Pup castings - see picture. Obtained with an assortment of other model engine parts. They may have been purchased 20 years ago or more - uncertain. Make me an offer - would not include shipping. Would consider trade if local (upstate/western NY state).

Have several other castings and will eventually build one - Panther Pup is interesting but something has to go.

Do you still have this, are there plans with it, a booklet is what I understand came with it, and the big question - how much?

Been away for a bit - I think I passed those castings on to a friend last year but will check within a few weeks to be sure. If I have them they are out in the back storage shed - it's a muddy walk out there at the moment. There were no plans or booklet. These came from a friend who passed away - who likely obtained them from friends.

Your mud is no doubt much like ours, so I fully understand. I just hope you still have them, because I much prefer brass to the aluminum now offered~

Rod,
I have a plan book if you need one.

Jeff

I am interested in your plan book. I was wondering what you would have to have for it. Thanks Terry

I no longer have the castings. Some time passed after posting here and I gave them to a friend who stopped by. What I'll do is advise him to post here if he's done nothing with them and wants to move them along.

I hope he wants to sell them & hasn't done any cutting~

Emailed my pal and asked him to post them here if he's willing. He travels a lot so it could be a while before he responds.

Time is no issue, I have engines to build, about 10 cord of firewood to saw & split, house projects for my wife & a '54 Chevy that wants the 327 in the boiler room installed~

I bought a set of brass castings from a vendor at NAMES 2 years ago and have nearly finished. Don't get as much shop time as I'd like. Castings had a lot of inclusions in them that required modification to main bearings and timing cover. Were made by Poco Power no idea how old but well worth the price I paid and has been a good build experience sorting out the "fixes". I have the instruction booklet and would be willing to copy for you. Steve's engine is a real inspiration to anyone interested in this engine. It was seeing his engine that got me going on this project. Don't know whether to thank him or---------.Colin
