Question what type of foam did you use? I used Styrofoam the stuff that you're TV and Electronics come in. I used a hot wire to cut the foam but it seem to leave a poor result on the mold. I am going to have to start to account for lost after the casting is completed. But like I said before there's a learning curve.

I hate to be a bother but.... If you are talking about the home foundry forum on HMEM, then I still don't see that user. I did a search for 'foundary al203' but the problem there is that Al203 is Aluminum Oxide which, of course, pops up all over the place... My real goal is to find some of the postings relating to "lost foam", but it is interesting that even that search term didn't produce good results in the HMEM search utility. I am trying to be a good self-service person and attempt to find some of this stuff myself, but I'm not too successful right now.
