Crank is done but not good. I had problems with the second chuck on the mill turn and the part was scrap anyway. I did the other step on the dmu 50, went good but the part moved in the chuck...

So, i will have to make some kind of jig or i'll will do it in 2 parts. Making it one part take LOTS of material too...

Did you make it one piece included the counterweight? No wander it took a lot of material.
I just finished mine and I am pleased with the fit of the bearings and the pinion, a precision that I have difficulty achieving reliably.

Yeah, i did it one pièce, too much material to remove.
 
So, i did the first step of the crank. I tried to do it one shot but i had vibration problems and i was not able to hold the part like i wanted to.

This one is good, i have +0.001" on every diameter, will test fit with bearings as soon as i get them.

I should do the second step and the counter weight today.

Working on the case today. I'll try to make a little video without cooling fluid.

Almost done. I have to do the small 0.050" oil hole tomorrow.

Did those little button this morning.

On the subject of rockers... some parts are easier to draw that to machine.
I made 12 rockers ganged up side by side. 2 extra because on a part with 27,696 operations, orientations and tool change is easy to screw up at least two.
 
Colming along well. Not so fast over here though. Made a nice mirror image cam ring. Will be handy if I want the engine to run backward.:eek:
I'm good at backward making, but then being dyslexic helps, it also makes me crazy when copying numbers~
 
Did the cam housing. I will have to redo it. I did a dumb mistake when i took the G54.
