I believe I won your auction. I can't seem to find any information about Iowa Miniature Engines. Would you be able to provide me some details about them? Are they still in business? Was hoping to find a picture of a running model. In any case, the twin cylinder model you sold on Ebay looks like a substantial project that should keep my spare time occupied for a few months. Looking forward to the build.

This is the second set of castings from Iowa Miniature Engines I have found in this collection so far. I searched for a website with no results, the address on the original box is:

The Technical Drawings have the address:
Iowa Miniature Engines
PO Box 125
Rural Route 3
Iowa Falls, IA 50126
There is what appears to be an obit for Mr. Alexander, I can say by looking at his other kit he knew his engines.

My guess is it has been absorbed into someone else's line or are now rare sets.

Thank you for the information. Looking forward to the project! So far my lathe, measuring tools, and this model kit have come from the estates of deceased hobby machinists. Looks like all my tools with share the same fate.

This taken from John Davis' suppliers site. No mention of his line being taken over by anyone (yet).

Tom was a great guy, when i bought my first model kit, a Wyvern, from him he thought i should start with something simpler i was sad to hear when he died. i don't know of anyone that took over his castings and business.
