Several years back some fellows on the MEM forum created a Corliss engine. Although much simplified as far as the valve gear it still uses the same type of valving and mechanisms.
Not wanting to follow the herd I opted to scale it down so I took the smallest bolt on the original and scaled it until a M1.0 x .25 could be used. The scale factor came out to .40 of the original. Most of the bolts were .125 or 5-40 so these scaled to M1.2 x .25.
It's primarily made from steel with some store bought stainless bolts, the rest being home made.
