Hello everyone,
I would like to take the time to introduce myself. My name’s Tom and I live in a small town just North of Aberdeen, Scotland.
I got into Model Engineering by accident really. My main hobby used to be restoring vintage stationary engines from the nineteen hundreds. I got fed up asking people to fabricate parts for me so, I bought a small lathe then got hooked on Model Engineering.
I started with small steam Stuart castings then moved on to fabricating stationary steam engines from bar stock. However, always I had an itch to build a Petrol Engine so, after some research, I plumped for the Upshur Vertical Farm Engine. I followed the plans and built it to run on petrol then I converted it to run on propane gas.
I’m self taught with a lot of help from Mr Pete222 who never ceases to amaze me...!!
Regards
Tom
