I started machining about 2 years ago after Terry Mayhugh got me hooked. I have a Grizzly G8688 7x12 mini-lathe and a Sieg X2D mini-mill. Of course, there are a lot of tools and stuff that it takes to turn these cold lumps of iron into actual, working, machines.
So far, I've made (and actually gotten to run) a Grizzly H8101 Sterling engine
and a PM Research steam plant consisting of a 3BI engine, BLR-1 boiler, BFP-1C Boiler Feed Pump, and a WTK-1 Water Tank.
Next project has already started and, at the suggestion of Terry Mayhugh, I'll be creating a build log of a PM Research #5 "coke bottle" steam engine.
