Turn the 30 dia to say 32 dia reverse and hold in the chuck, turn od and drill recess inside. Drill holes in flange and hold in a fixture by them or on the od
Use a ball turner to finish the dome

Great work. You'll enjoy fine-tuning it. Watch out if you used the supplied window material for the fuel tank. It dissolves and puts a stringy mess in the tank which is very hard to wash out.
I have mine on YouTube "myshed67" if you want to see it and the subsequent silliness. Good to see more work down under with Bengs kits.
Cheers

Too late Jeffro petrol everywhere and the sight glass is completely dissolved.
I took the sight glass frame off and glued a piece brass over it so I could play with it some more but could not keep it running. I think the spray bar is all clogged up. That was on the weekend but I've been too busy to flush it out.
Maybe in the next few days.
Cheers John

Sorry I didn't know to be able to warn you earlier. Residue is a very fine stringy goop, nasty to get rid of and will cause you to chase the mixture adjustment until you have cleared it ALL out. I cut a piece of glass for mine and now good. I guess they don't use petrol in the northern hemisphere (coleman lighter fluid ?). I will have to get busy, there is a Bengs Donatus still in its shipping box on the shelf.

Rudy the first couple of pops where it wanted to come to life was a real buzz for me . It just popped and banged for a few times and then ran. I kept each run fairly short and the more it ran the better it got. I was sitting there after assembling the engine adjusting the valve timing... intake........fire.......valve should start opening about now and so forth just turning it over .Close enough for it to go.
Cheers
John
