I joined a few months ago but this has been the first opportunity to introduce myself. I from Coventry in England and worked within the automotive and aerospace industry for decades, but enjoy building small steam engines, gadgets, clocks and tools.
I have just completed a refurbishment of my Loughborough Trainer, including changing the motor to 3 phase and added an inverter for speed control, scraped the slides and gib strips and added a DRO system to X and Y axis.
Im now just about to start building the most compact power hacksaw I can, from scrap material I have hanging about the place.
