Approx 5ft long , all metal , very heavy , with vice one one end.
Anyone know what it is and what its for.

As Goldstar 31 said. I use to have several when I was into woodwork, great for gluing planks together for table tops.

It's the Engilsh version of a "Pony" pipe clamp, not so much a vice at one end as a clamp with movable fixed jaw, as the others have said its called a sash cramp and gets it name from being used to clamp large "sash" windows when glueing up.

Thanks everyone. Yeh there are 4 of them.
Nearest thng i could think of was like a hydraulic dozing jig for pulling damaged cars back into shape.
